Recently Bumblebees have also demonstrated flexible behaviour when carrying out a task requiring an unnatural object manipulation (rolling a ball towards a goal to get a reward) by improving the efficiency of the learned task. I am interested in looking further into how Bumblebees manipulate objects under different scenarios: from seemingly non-functional to goal-oriented object manipulations. I intend to carry out behavioural experiments to analyse Bumblebee behaviour when manipulating and gaining information about objects." Supervisor Professor Lars Chittka Research
