Project title: Stress and resilience during family structure transitions

Summary: Research suggests that changes in family structure are a source of stress for children and parents. While this is true for many individuals, others are unaffected. I am interested in the source of this variation. My PhD research focuses on sources of risk and resilience during family structure change, with the goal of bolstering protective factors in order to improve the lives of children and parents. Additionally, I am exploring how the rates and outcomes of family structure transitions differ in low-and-middle-income countries relative to high income countries.
