Project title: Emotion Recognition in Forced and Voluntary Migrants

Summary: The overall goal of the project is to explore how emotion recognition and associated cognitive biases (a) are affected by exposure to trauma and (b) change over time in samples of forced and voluntary migrants and how these changes correspond with changes in well-being and mental health constructs. This project offers significant potential for academic and non-academic impact including for policy development in response to the growing refugee crisis and increasing human mobility as well as implications for health and well-being in migrant populations.
