New strategic hires in Artificial Intelligence in the Biosciences

The School is hiring for Lectureships, Senior Lectureships, Readerships, Professorships in areas related to applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Biosciences.

As part of a recently announced strategic recruitment at Queen Mary University of London, we are looking to recruit cross-disciplinary experts with experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science approaches in, for example, biochemistry, cell biology, biomedicine or ecology, organismal biology, functional genomics, as well as behavioural psychology and mental health.

The positions will be within the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences located at Mile End campus or the Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) at the Whitechapel campus, based on your research interests. We expect the successful candidates to build strong links with our School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, the School of Mathematical Sciences, as well as with external partners such as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with whom we already share teaching and research agendas. Other collaborations within and beyond Queen Mary will be encouraged, particularly to build long-term partnerships with industries / policy makers. Successful applicants will  develop their research portfolio and will be expected to teach on our new MSc programme “AI in the Biosciences”.
