Description and applications

Process proteomic mass spectrometry data, in particular GIO can perform unbiased identification of proteins and other translated genomic elements by combining proteomic mass spectrometry data and RNA-seq transcriptomic data.

It can help reveal the presence of translated genomic elements that are not found in standard canonical proteomes.
