Our Impact Collaborator Community is your chance to share your expertise, engage with the latest research, and contribute to innovations that impact society, industries, and communities in the UK and around the world.

Who can participate?

We are invitiing professionals from various sectors who want to make a difference by.

  • Sharing your expertise to review, advise and support impactful research projects.
  • Guiding early-stage, high-risk projects by participating in our Exploratory Scheme panels.
  • Engaging with a network of researchers, policymakers, and industry experts.
  • Supporting innovation in science, entrepreneurship, and policymaking.

Your role, impact and benefits

You can participate as a Peer Reviewer, Panelist for early-stage impact projects, or both:

Peer Reviewer

  • What you’ll do: Assess applications for impact funding, evaluate based on specific criteria, and provide feedback to help researchers improve their projects.
  • Your impact: Help ensure that projects funded by the Queen Mary Impact Fund are of the highest quality and truly impactful.
  • Your benefits: Build professional connections with stakeholders in science, innovation, entrepreneurship and policymaking, gain exclusive insights into groundbreaking research, and receive recognition for your contributions

Exploratory Scheme Panelist

  • What you’ll do: Serve on panels to assess innovative, early-stage research proposals seeking up to £10k in funding.
  • Your impact: Shape high-risk, high-reward projects and guide research that has the potential to drive societal change.
  • Your benefits: Engage with university teams involved in impact, business development, community engagement and innovation, and influence research impact direction
