Creativeworks London (CWL), which finished in 2016, was one of four Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funded 'Knowledge Exchange Hubs for the Creative Economy' in the UK. Each Hub had 4 million pounds of funding from the AHRC to build new partnerships and commercial opportunities between academia and the creative industries, museums, libraries, and other cultural institutions. QMUL was the lead organization in CWL, a collaboration of over 30 organisations involved in the creative industries in London. CWL ran three funded schemes to promote collaboration between the arts and humanities research base in London and London's creative economy: Creative Vouchers; Creative Entrepreneurs in Residence; and Researchers in Residence. In addition, as a partner in London Creative and Digital Fusion, CWL supported an innovation voucher scheme and a range of business development events for SMEs in the creative and digital economy. Although CWL has now ended, the many partnerships and links built up during its tenure form an important part of on-going research and innovation. Contact: Jana Riedel.
