Our keynote speaker for Monday 8 March at 1.30pm is Professor Gilly Salmon, CEO & Principal Consultant at Education Alchemists Ltd

Professor Gilly Salmon considers means for grasping the disruption, embracing the challenges and searching for viable and successful blends for 2021 and beyond.

She explores ways of deploying researched, evidence-based ways of creating relevant,  engaged learning and points to some examples. She identifies concepts that could help.  She includes collaborative design and equivalence for assisting staff not only to think differently about creating optimum learning but also to ensure students’ success.  Then the challenge of the best modes of engagement for students’ by building scaffolds and pathways over time, not only to achieve the learning outcomes but also to add some additional value. She then risks glancing to the future - of Education 4.0.

Gilly Salmon, PhD, PFHEA, NTF. is CEO & Principal Consultant at Education Alchemists Ltd. Professor Salmon is one of the world’s leading thinkers, researchers and practitioners in learning futures.   She publishes, blogs & presents on innovation and transformation in Higher Education. Her books ‘E-moderating’ and ‘E-tivities’ are considered seminal texts. Her ‘Carpe Diem’ learning design methodology is extensively deployed internationally.

She has 30 years’ experience as a researcher, in teaching and in leadership roles, in universities in the UK and Australia. She has initiated, strategized, implemented & completed significant institutional and educational change. She is an Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, & Visiting Professor at Edge Hill University, UK.
