Director of Education and Reader In Pharma And Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences
Lesley will be working with the Queen Mary Academy as a Fellow from February 2021. She will be working to embed Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) into the curriculum.
Lesley joined Queen Mary in January 2017 and is currently a Reader in Pharma and Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences. Prior to this she was a Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy at the University of East Anglia.
Lesley is currently the academic lead for the Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree programs and more recently has taken a leading role in the delivery of the Chemistry Department’s Blended Learning provision. She is passionate about outreach and public engagement, delivering events across campus, local schools and communities.
Lesley’s scholarship interests have two main themes; investigating the impact and influence that chemistry outreach can have on both students and teachers and secondly on the development of novel and impactful educational approaches.
