Our researchers made the headlines when we announced the discovery of an earth-like planet orbiting the nearest star to our solar system. We were named one of the safest universities in London by the Complete University Guide earlier this month. We got a hat-trick of nominations for the Times Higher Education Awards as well as being nominated for a sustainability award. Awards for QMUL’s medical and dentistry alumni

QMUL alumnus Marinos Koulouroudias has won the highly prestigious University of London Gold Medal while Ahmed Al-Baiyya and Noor Khalid Mohammed Al-Ani Sharif were both awarded the ‘runner up’ award for Dentistry.

Dentistry student Sunie Kundi earned the fantastic achievement of ‘Course Rep of the Year’ at the QMSU Education Awards last year. We caught up with him to find out why he chose to take on the role of Course Rep and what it means to represent his fellow students.

A new academic year - time for a new start?
The Advice and Counselling Service offer a range of services and workshops throughout the year and are always available to talk.

Help with your studies for all students
The Learning Development team can help with aspects of study including reading effectively, writing, note-taking, time-management, critical thinking, avoiding plagiarism, presentation skills and group work. They also host the Royal Literary Fund (RLF) Writing Fellows.

Student Enquiry Centre
The Student Enquiry Centre is a general enquiry service for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students.

The QMUL InQUBEate programme for budding entrepeneurs
