At this time of year, many of us are feeling some kind of financial pressure. With this in mind, we’ve put together 10 tips to help you control your finances. Planning a budget is always a good idea to help you keep on top of things – take a look at our budget planning film for more information. Restricted access at Mile End campus as work commences on Mathematical Sciences Building

Pedestrian access to Godward Square (sometimes known as Drapers Square) from Mile End Road will be closed from this week until completion of the refurbishment of the Mathematical Sciences Building in April 2019. Find out more.

UK government confirms rights for EU citizens following Brexit

The UK government has confirmed that they have reached an agreement with the EU that safeguards the rights of EU citizens and their families once the UK leaves the EU. Tuition fee deadline approaching – please ensure fees are paid on time

The tuition fee deadline is fast approaching and we urge you not to leave your payments until the last minute. Please ensure that your payments are up-to-date by Wednesday 31 January. This does not apply to undergraduate students who are in receipt of student loans nor to students who started their studies in January. Payments can be made online at www.qmul.ac.uk/epay. Please refer to the Tuition Fee Regulations for more information.

Hive East closed for refurbishment project

The Students’ Union and Library Services are working together on a refurbishment of Hive East at the Mile End campus to provide more collaborative learning space and bookable areas for student activities. Whilst work on the Hive continues, the Students’ Union will be opening Blomeley Rooms 1 and 2 in the SU Hub as an alternative space. Visit My.QMUL for details.

If you head down to Godward Square by Drapers and Qmotion at the Mile End campus, you may notice Infusion’s had a bit of a makeover. From this week, Infusion will be known as the Union Shop, but will still stock the usual clothing, products and meal deals.

Are you graduating and would like to continue your studies abroad?

This year, Queen Mary is offering at least three full scholarships in association with the China Scholarship Council to students interested in studying at one of our prestigious partner institutions in 2018/19. This opportunity is open to final-year undergraduate students and covers the cost of registration, tuition fees, medical insurance and accommodation.
