QMUL international scholars celebrated at prestigious event

The achievements of more than 180 of our international scholars were recognised at the recent Queen Mary International Scholars Reception on Wednesday 1 March, which brought together students, embassy officials and scholarship body representatives from across the globe. 

QMUL is home to students from 162 nationalities, and receives funded scholars from more than 50 international funding bodies. Thirty five per cent of QMUL students are from outside the UK, and we boast an impressively international teaching body too, with over 33 per cent of staff coming from overseas. More.

 Money and support
Free workshops and psycho-educational groups on campus

The free workshops being offered by the local NHS service are continuing throughout March on campus. If you are registered with any GP in Tower Hamlets (not just the university Student Health Service) then you can access these one-off sessions. More.

Scholarship opportunities

A number of scholarships are being offered by external companies to QMUL students. ExpressVPN is offering QMUL students the opportunity to apply for a $5,000 cash scholarship, Gear4wheels is offering a $1,000 automotive scholarship to students studying for a science-related degree, and 1st Art Gallery is offering a $1,000 scholarship per academic year to arts and liberal arts students.

Green Mary Week 2017

The Sustainability team are holding their annual Green Mary Week from Monday 13 to Friday 17 March. As well as finding out about sustainability on and off campus, expect prizes, giveaways, tours and of course, lots of fun. Visit the Sustainability blog for more information.
Free cycle events

We have a number of free cycle events across all three campuses as part of Green Mary Week including bike maintenance with free parts and cycle marking from the police.
