Biography

Natasha Mangal is a U.S. attorney and an Early Stage Researcher with the EIPIN Innovation Society (EIPIN IS), an EU-funded project which brings together five leading IP research and training centres to support 14 PhD candidates in their IP and innovation research projects. She is currently completing her Ph.D. studies as a joint doctorate with the Centre d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI) University of Strasbourg, and Queen Mary University of London, advised by Professor Christophe Geiger (CEIPI) and Professor Guido Westkamp (Queen Mary). Her research regards institutional perspectives on EU copyright reform, focusing on how regulatory bodies can be adapted to better respond to challenges posed by digitization. During her studies she has also spent time at GEMA and CISAC, interviewing and working alongside their respective legal teams to gain a practical perspective on many pressing copyright-related legal issues and regulatory challenges in the EU.
