A big congratulations to everyone that has had their place confirmed this week! We are tremendously proud that you have chosen to study at QMUL, and we look forward to welcoming you next month.

With relatively little time to go, we would like to provide you with some information to help prepare you for the enrolment and orientation processes.

Detailed information including links to our comprehensive new student website, will be emailed to you shortly.

Pre-enrolment and enrolment

1. Pre-enrolment

This is the first part of the enrolment process, and happens online.

This pre-enrolment facility opens next week, when our Admissions Office will email all students with confirmed places and provide instructions about how to pre-enrol via MySIS (our student records system).

2. Enrolment

Enrolment is the next stage in the process, which all students need to attend in person (except distance learners).

Enrolment will begin on Saturday 16th September, and many students tend to prefer to enrol over that weekend. If you are eligible to enrol over that weekend* you will be presented with an online booking facility once you have pre-enrolled.

Alternatively, each undergraduate and postgraduate taught programme will have an allocated enrolment slot between Monday 18th and Friday 22nd September in our Enrolment Centre (Mile End Campus). The time of your slot will be communicated to you nearer the time.

Postgraduate Research Degree students (i.e. MPhil, PhD and MD (RES) programmes) will enrol on 25th September. Instructions will be communicated to you nearer the time.

* Excludes all research degree students; all distance learning students and students on the A300 (Medicine Direct Entrant), A101 (MBBS GEP), Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy (A900) and A4EC Oral Hygiene and Therapy programmes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Immigration permission support (non-EU students)

If you are not an EEA or Swiss national, you will need to provide evidence that proves your identity, and evidence that your immigration status permits you to enrol with us at QMUL.

If you are not sure whether your current UK immigration permission will allow you to enrol, please check our guide. If you have questions, please email a copy of your passport details page, and copies of any documents that show your current immigration status to visaverification@qmul.ac.uk Our Immigration Compliance Team will then examine your case and clarify which documents you will need to show to us when you enrol.

Tier 4 immigration webinars

The QMUL Advice and Counselling service are holding online immigration guidance webinars to provide guidance and assistance to our incoming international students.

We strongly recommend you book onto one of these webinars to help prepare you for the Tier 4 immigration application process.
