The School of Engineering and Materials Science attracts staff at the forefront of their field, with specialisms ranging from robotic surgery to aerospace propulsion to developing synthetic biomaterials. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the School, you will be able to undertake projects that encompass a wide area of engineering and materials and will be able to specialise in your area of interest. You will learn how to plan a research project and develop a range of other skills that are essential in any career as an engineer within an industrial or academic environment.
