Research Interests: Queer theory; Queer history; Left internationalism; Poststructuralism; Marxism; International Relations Theory; Resistance, revolution, social movements

Education/Professional Qualifications:

  • BA in History and Politics at the University of Oxford
  • MSc in International Relations Theory at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)

Work Experience:

Prior to joining Queen Mary, Alex worked as Platform Research Manager at Apolitical, a peer-to-peer learning platform for government. He also has experience in research roles at the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, and Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights. He is currently a member of the editorial board at Millennium: Journal of International Studies.
