A majority of MPs think that remaining in the Single Market is compatible with honouring the Brexit referendum result, according to a survey by the Mile End Institute and UK in a Changing Europe. Among MPs, 56 per cent say it is possible to deliver on the referendum even if the country stays in the Single Market. Among Conservative MPs the figure is just 23 per cent, down from 50 per cent a year ago. On the Labour benches 90 per cent think it’s possible to reconcile remaining in the EU’s internal market with Brexit, up from 86 per cent a year earlier.
