Dr Lee Jones, Professor Nicholas Ridout, Dr Rick Saull and Dr Harry Stopes have signed an open letter in The Guardian that argues that there is “no justification” for the USS pension cuts. The letter states that “Pension cuts are estimated at £200,000, with the worst hit being the youngest. The next generation of university academics, already bearing huge student debts, now face the deepest cuts in pensions.”
