Professor Tim Bale, Why Theresa May could be damaged even if she wins the election

Theresa May called the snap UK election to strengthen her position, but instead it threatens to leave her weaker, according to a Bloomberg article. Professor Tim Bale said: “Even if she wins a comfortable, if not overwhelming, majority, it’s difficult to see May leading the Tories into the next election. I’m not sure the party would want to risk her against a Labour leader who might look more like an alternative Prime Minister than Jeremy Corbyn does.”
