How stable is the government, especially now that it enters the Brexit negotiations with a weaker mandate, asks BFM Radio? Professor Tim Bale suggests: “Theresa May needs to get her budget through and get her confidence votes. She needs a smaller party to be able to do this and the DUP fit that bill… Brexit wasn’t much of a factor in the election… but negotiations start today and Theresa May is holding to the line that we will have a hard Brexit, however there are people expressing concerns of the economic impact. In all, the opposing opinions means that this will be a very difficult period for the Prime Minister.”
