Dr Sarah Wolff, Is the Franco-German engine floundering?

Dr Sarah Wolff, Director of QMUL’s Centre for European Research, comments on the foreign and security policy challenges shaping Europe’s role in the world, with a particular focus on Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron. She argues that “Germany needs France to avoid being perceived as the hegemon of austerity politics in Europe, while France needs Germany to continue to drive political integration.”
