This week Dr Boucek appeared on Al Jazeera discussing the results of the French Presidential Elections. She commented on the importance of François Hollande picking ‘the right team’, his decision to focus on growth rather than austerity measures, and the ‘anti-Sarkozy vote’. Dr Boucek also talked on Monocle24 radio about the formation of coalition governments. As Greece struggles to form a government, she discusses what sort of power struggles go on in coalition negotiations and how deals are kept and broken after the coalition is made - particularly relevant to the UK government.
