This live webinar, jointly hosted by the Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team and the Advice and Counselling Service, aims to inform supporters of Looked after Children and Care Leavers about how Queen Mary University of London supports the access, success, and progression of the young people in these cohorts.
We will include information on the application process for care leavers, accommodation, finance and funding, and support with transition to university. We will also cover the support mechanisms in place for care experienced and estranged students once they enrol as a student with us, and throughout their time at Queen Mary.
There will be opportunities to ask questions and we would welcome insight from your experiences of working with care experienced young people, in order to inform best practice.
We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday 28th July at 3pm.
