Welcome to Queen Mary University of London. Welcome Week will take place from Monday 19th September - Friday 23rd September 2022.
During this time, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore your courses and the services available to you at Queen Mary, as well as social activities.
When you are on campus and need support or have any questions, come and see us at the information point in Library Square from 10am–4pm Monday - Friday.
There will also be an opportuntity to explore campus on one of your campus tours led by Student Ambassadors throughout Welcome Week. These will leave from the information point in Library square from 10am, every hour, with the last tour leaving at 3pm.
The Students' Union have a great range of in person and virtual events running throughout Welcome Week and beyond – make sure you check out their programme and book onto some of their great events.
The Students' Union will be bringing you a packed line-up of events as part of its Official Freshers' line-up from Friday 16th September to Sunday 2nd October. You can enjoy trips and tours, club nights on campus and in some of London's biggest nightclubs, arts and crafts sessions, comedy nights and much more. You can view the official events line-up and buy your tickets now on the Students' Union website. For the ultimate Freshers' experience grab yourself a Freshers' Pass - you'll save money and get guaranteed priority entry and queue jump at 16 of our biggest events!
Don't miss the Welcome Fair on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd September that will take place across the Mile End campus. It's your opportunity to meet our Clubs and Societies, find out more about our student services and grab freebies from lots of local and national companies who will be at the Fair.
The Reuse Fair will also take place on Saturday 17th September in the Students' Union Hub from 10am until all the items are gone! It's your opportunity to get your hands on free bedding, kitchenware, crockery, room items, stationery and much more. All items were donated at the end of last year to stop usable items going to landfill.
Get Active is our recreational sports programme open to everyone. We offer turn up and play sessions, structured courses, one-off events and much more! No specialist equipment or clothing is required to take part.
We know Get Active is a great way to stay fit, meet new people and make new friends so we're offering all our Get Active sessions for FREE from Monday 26th September to Friday 30th September. You can find more information and the full timetable here.
On Tuesday 20th September 1-3pm we are inviting all international students to join us in the Great Hall, People's Palace.
You will have the opportunity to meet with Queen Mary staff and fellow students, write a postcard home, take part in a quiz testing your London knowledge and attend a session about essential visa information.
Once you’ve received your Queen Mary IT credentials (email address and password) you will be able to log in and complete the International Student Success module on QMPlus. This will help you prepare for student life in the UK, familiarise yourself with the support services available at Queen Mary and make the most of your time at university.
