Profile

Daniel is a contemporary historian based at the LSE, where he teaches on the interdisciplinary LSE100 course. He completed his PhD at the University of Reading in 2022, his research having focused upon left-wing activism in Croydon, South London, in the twentieth century. His work focuses on the politics of place and space, bringing attention to the ways in which activists have experienced and understood their immediate surroundings and especially 'the suburbs'. Daniel is also a co-convenor of the IHR's Contemporary British History seminar.
