Students from East London in the schools of History and Politics & IR are invited to apply for an award of £1,000.
2 October 2015
In 2015/16 the Mile End Institute is offering three awards of £1,000 to students in the Schools of Politics & IR or History.
These studentships will be granted to students from East London and are part of the Institute’s work on community involvement, civic participation and local politics.
In return for the studentship, the recipients will be expected to assist at Mile End Institute events and support the Institute with digital outreach and community engagement.
These awards are available to any student - undergraduate or postgraduate – whose home was in East London prior to their recruitment to QMUL.
It is expected that the successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their academic interests in modern British history and/or contemporary British politics.
One award will be made to a student of History, one to a student of Politics & IR and the third, sponsored by the International Young Leaders’ Network, is available to students of either school.
