The Conservative Party in London

12 July 2021

Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm

The panel considered how the Conservative party are positioned electorally in London, and how they can attract both younger voters and those from ethnic minority backgrounds. They also discussed the policy issues that are likely to dominate the political debate in London over the next few years in the aftermath of Covid-19, and how London can, and perhaps should, relate to the rest of the United Kingdom in the future.

The session began with a presentation by Lewis Baston, setting out the current position of the Conservative party in the capital, before moving into a broader discussion.
