Richard Purcell is a Teaching Fellow in the School of Mathematics. Richard teaches the Actuarial Professional Development I (MTH4112) module for the Bsc Mathematics with Actuarial Science course. He also works as a consulting actuary for a leading actuarial firm.

 Richard holds a MSci from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Richard is an active member of the actuarial profession, and is currently a member of the Health & Care board of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries. He is also a former Editor of The Actuary magazine.
