Rachael is a PhD student in the Algebra Group, supervised by Ivan Tomasic. Her research interests broadly lie in algebraic geometry, category theory and number theory. In particular she is interested in generalising the theory of exceptional polynomials to a difference algebraic context.
Before moving to Queen Mary, Rachael completed her MSci Mathematics at King's College London, spending a year studying abroad at the University of Hong Kong.

Public Engagement

Rachael was the lead event organiser for the 2017 QMUL Atoms To Galaxies strand of Pint of Science, and helped judge the 2018 Association for Women in Mathematics Essay Contest.
