Aryan is a first year PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Shahn Majid.
He is currently working on Algebraic aspects of Quantum Groups, such as braided and monoidal categories, categorification of quantum groups and ring-theoretical properties of Hopf algebras.
Aryan received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UCL in 2017, and graduated with distinction from Part III of University of Cambridge's Mathematical Tripos in 2018. His Part III essay was based on Gerstenhaber's papers on deformations of algebras. He has also previously worked on the representation theory of Artinian algebras and Fox derivatives on presentations of groups.
Aryan's intrested in most algerbaic topics, but his usual reading/thinking are geared towards Catgeories, Rings and Representation theory, specially their overlap with quantum group theory.
