Higher-order networks structure and dynamics

Supervisor: Professor Ginestra Bianconi

Project description:
Higher-order interactions between more than two elements are ubiquitous in complex systems ranging from ecological systems and the microbiome, to the brain.

The present project will focus on the mathematical investigation of the interplay between study structure and dynamics of higher-order networks with  applications to biological systems.

Depending on the student skills the project could either focus on network science and statistical physics problems regarding structure and dynamics of higher-order networks, or on the study of topological signals in higher-order networks.

The successful candidate should have a MSc in mathematics or in physics.
