Profile

Professor Catherine Molyneux is the Deputy Dean for Education, Malta and leads the team of academics responsible for the delivery of both the clinical and non-clinical components of the MBBS programme. She gained her PhD at St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry (2003) and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial College. She joined Queen Mary, University of London, as a Lecturer in Anatomy in 2005, and then became the Director of Anatomical Studies in 2011. She has significant experience in curriculum development and a particular interest in integrating the teaching of clinically relevant anatomy throughout the medical curriculum. She reintroduced the availability of anatomical dissection for all medical students, and designed and developed on-line anatomy examinations.


In 2017, Catherine moved to Gozo, Malta where she has been central in establishing the new Malta Campus. Her responsibilities have ranged from being involved with the design of the new medical school and the anatomy centre, to being responsible for the academic delivery of the medical curriculum.
