Life Sciences Initiative Microbiome network

Led by Profs. William Wade, Amrita Ahluwalia and Dr Mike Barnes, the network brings together colleagues working in the field of microbiome research to identify opportunities for shared resource to support the network but also to identify collaborative groups that could be put forward for multidisciplinary bids for calls such as the MRC Partnership Grant and Wellcome Collaborative Awards.

The aim of the group is to pull together individuals who are working in this area so that we could potentially be more effective combining our expertise across our faculties.  There are microbiological, computational and translational expertise dispersed within our community with a great deal of individual focus on the impact of the microbiome on health and disease. This group focusses on identifying potential collaboration and sharing of best practice and discuss approaches for industry liaison.
