Professor Bill Spence, Interim Director of the Life Sciences Initiative, who is one of the four judges for the competition, said: “Congratulations to everyone who submitted an image to the Life Sciences Image Awards 2018. The standard of entries has been very high, with some really beautiful and interesting images for us to consider. The short-listed images can be seen on the LSI website, but I would urge everyone to see the full-sized versions at one of the events where they will be on display.”

The winners will be announced at the prize-giving ceremony and exhibition on 26 June 2018, but you can vote for your favourite image at the following events:

Ideas Unwrapped, 26 April

Festival of Communities, 12-13 May

Barts and Queen Mary Science Festival, 20 June.

The image with the most votes will receive the “People’s Choice Award” at the official prize-giving.
