Time: 1:30 - 3:30pm
Venue: Lister Young Seminar Room, Second floor John Vane Science Centre, Charterhouse Square
Dr William Marsh and Dr John Robson will be talking at the October computational workshop.
The schedule will be:
14:00-14:30: Talk 1: Developing Medical Decision Support Systems - Dr William Marsh, School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
14:30-15:00: Talk 2: Discovery - a new clinical and research data service for East London - Dr John Robson, Blizard Institute
The DISCOVERY programme aims to establish a new data service integrating primary care (EMIS) and secondary care (Cerner) data in a single, accessible service. This will provide a unique new service for clinicians, to enhance existing EMIS and Cerner systems, for planners and researchers. It is supported by the Endeavour Health charity, Barts Health and CCGs. The development of linkage with other data sets is part of the future vision. These new services provide the basis for learning health systems and a research enabled community.
