Centre for Research Libraries: Representing over 90 countries and 1200 institutions, the CRL has catalogue records for over 800,000 foreign doctoral dissertations.
DART – Europe: A partnership of library consortia working together to improve global access by providing a single European portal for discovery of European research theses.
EThOS: The UK’s national thesis service containing approximately 400,000 records relating to 120 institutions of which around 160,000 are full text.
OAIster: A union catalogue of difficult to find digital resources including theses: Under ‘Content’, narrow searches to ‘thesis/dissertations’.
OATD (Open Access Theses & Dissertations): Free access to a growing number of theses online. Many from USA colleges, but also includes other regions. Includes both doctoral and masters theses.
OCLC WorldCat Dissertations & Theses: All dissertations, theses and published material based on theses catalogued by OCLC members. Over 8 million records covering all subjects.
Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations: An international organisation dedicated to promoting the adoption, creation, use, dissemination and preservation of electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs).
PDQT: PDQT Open provides the full text of open access dissertations and theses free of charge, downloadable in PDF format.
PDQT Global (Proquest Dissertations & These Global): Access to over 2.3 million doctoral dissertations and theses. Provides abstracts and previews alongside full text to over 1.9 million entries from 1997 to present and citations for records back to 1861.
Proquest Dissertations & Theses: (Formerly Index to Theses) – A comprehensive record of citations to theses produced in the UK and Ireland since 1716, consisting of over half a million records with 15,000 citations added annually. Abstracts for content from 1986.
Registry of Open Access Repositories: Hosted by University of Southampton, ROAR lists international institutional repositories containing electronic theses.
