Sharing your thesis

Higher degrees awarded by the University are uploaded into the QMUL repository Queen Mary Research Online (QMRO); this does not mean that they are immediately publicly available, but does ensure discovery and access when you are ready to share your thesis.

Pre-September 2009 print theses are available on request from our Libraries, unless you asked for it to be placed under embargo when submitting for examination copying, scanning and photocopying of theses is prohibited without the express permission of the author.

Open access: Sharing your research online outside of the institutional repository may be beneficial, and helps to increase the level of exposure for your research in the early stages of your career. These include:

Sites such as Figshare function as sharing networks for scholars who wish to raise their profile and share their work as widely as possible; they can be useful in assisting researchers in knowledge exchange, increasing visibility, network development and opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, analytical functions allow metrics and statistics of profile views, research downloads etc. to be obtained.
