Helping students to learn from each other
Below are resources we have developed for Queen Mary's peer learning community.
Course Reps and Student Buddies can use these resources for ideas about how to incorporate academic skills into their support for other students.
If you want to work with us on some aspect of peer learning, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Listen to our interviews with the student Course Reps from each of the three faculties about the challenges they've encountered in the switch to blended learning.
Watch this video guide that we produced for Queen Mary Course Reps on how to support their students' academic skills.
As part of QMSU's extended Study Well campaign, we co-created two workshops about using academic skills to support student wellbeing.
The content of the sessions was developed as a collaboration with Queen Mary student volunteers and Academic Skills Enhancement tutors. The student volunteers — all members of Queen Mary's Buddy Scheme — took the lead in designing the workshops based their own experiences of studying during the pandemic — and on those of their peers.
You can watch recordings of the workshops here.
