History Day on Thursday 23 November is a day for students, researchers & history enthusiasts to explore library, museum, archive and history collections across the UK & beyond.
This year, on Thursday 23 November, we return to an in-person fair for the first time since 2019, and Queen Mary’s Library and Archive team will have a stall so come and say hello. We will be offering the chance to make your own badge as well as a chance to ask your research questions.
History Day 2023 will start with an interactive panel sessions at 11am “Discovering historical collections” in the Woburn Suite Senate House & Online-via Zoom. This interactive panel session will focus on ways of finding historical resources and collections. Our expert panel will introduce the services they manage, and will discuss current issues in discovery of historical collections. There will then be a chance for members of the audience (both online and in person) to ask questions.
12pm-4pm will be the History Day Fair where we will have our stall along with over 50 libraries, archives, museums and history collections from across the UK and beyond.
