Queen Mary Lectureships in the Humanities and Social Sciences

How to apply

Candidate applications should consist of a completed online application form and an accompanying CV of no more than five A4 sides.

Within the 5,000 character limit, the application should:

  • Briefly summarise research.
  • Explain how it fits with existing strengths at Queen Mary.
  • Set out a plan for how research will be developed further over the next three years.

The panel will consist of staff from across the Faculty’s disciplines but will include at least one specialist relevant to the candidate’s broad research area. It is expected that many applicants may already be in possession of external funded scholarships and may wish to bring these to Queen Mary with a view to obtaining a permanent post, this should be made clear within the application form.

More information can be found in the Job Pack, which can be viewed here.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 3 January 2019. Interviews will take place from February 2019.
