Valsamis Mitsilegas, Professor of European Criminal Law and Global Security and Deputy Dean for Global Engagement (Europe) at Queen Mary University of London, gave a presentation on the European Union and the Rule of Law at the 2020 CEPS Ideas Lab. The Ideas Lab is an annual event organised by the Centre for European Policy Studies, a leading thin-tank on European affairs. The 2020 Ideas Lab, entitled 'Europe's Next Stage', brought together leading figures in EU and national institutions, international organisations, the judiciary, policy-making, civil society and academia.
Professor Mitsilegas is also Co-Director of Queen Mary's Criminal Justice Centre.
