What influenced your decision to choose a LLM at Queen Mary?

The availability of a wide range of modules influenced my decision to study at QMUL.

How did you find the teaching and learning?

I studied a wide variety of subjects ranging from Intellectual Property Rights and Competition Law to Jurisprudence. This helped me to get a better understanding of different fields and the inter-relationships and interplay between them, which has helped me gain a holistic understanding of law.

What was key about your programme / were there any highlights?

Most of my Professors were either practitioners or academics who are well recognised and experts in their fields. All of them were extremely approachable and the interactive manner in which the lectures were conducted really helped in understanding the subject and the basic concepts better.

Has gaining a deeper understanding of your specialisation helped your career?

I am personally extremely interested in research and QMUL gave me the opportunity to write two dissertations in different subjects, which really helped me hone my research skills. Further, all my teachers and especially my supervisors were extremely helpful and supportive of my interest in research. I am planning to do a PhD in the future and I think that CCLS has both equipped me for this challenge and also given me the necessary qualifications to be able to achieve my goals. CCLS provided a perfect environment for me to explore my interests in different fields and has brought me one step closer to fulfilling my goal of entering academia.
