The EU also has a large footprint in the UK, which could be about to get a little smaller in the next few years says BBC News article 'Brexit: Will EU bodies be staying in London or going?' In the article, Rosa Lastra, Professor of Financial and Monetary Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), says it is "a given" that the European Banking Authority (EBA) will have to find a new home. "The only way to keep the EBA in London is for the UK to remain in the single market, via some form of soft Brexit, which appears to be opposed by the government," she says.
