Experts have many roles in assisting in the resolution of disputes before national courts and international arbitral tribunals. This colloquium seeks to explore the many ways in which experts are and can be used in international arbitration, and their duties to the arbitral tribunal before which they appear. This is not only as advisers to tribunal or as experts supporting the case presented by one of the parties. However, there are situations where experts can morph from being a party expert to becoming an adviser and assistant to the tribunal. The colloquium will also consider how best to examine experts for the tribunal to truly benefit from their knowledge and expertise.
This event is co-organised by the School of International Arbitration and ICC Institute of World Business Law.
