In light of the increasing importance of Islamic Finance in modern economy, CCLS is organising a seminar that will give participants a broad overview of the main principles and sources governing Islamic Finance. It will also cover Islamic finance structures, with particular attention on Islamic facilities; the regulatory treatment of Islamic banks and what Islamic bonds are together with the applicable regulatory regime. The seminar aims at highlighting the inteaction between Islamic finance and conventional financial practices.

Dr Amr Marar is Legal Counsel at Saudi Chevron Phillips, the largest energy company in Saudi Arabia.
