Queen Mary Postgraduate Legal Research Conference 2019 "Silver Linings"

The School of Law at Queen Mary invites postgraduate law students and academics to the Postgraduate Legal Research Conference. The conference will host presentations from doctoral researchers in traditional paper and poster sessions, as well as an exciting ‘soapbox’ session.

Keynote Speakers

Gregory Jones QC

Gregory will speak about silver linings in the environmental impact assessment directive. He is a senior barrister specialising in environmental law, administrative law, motor sports, major infrastructure projects (DCO consents), compulsory purchase, Parliamentary, EU law and public procurement, education and local government. He regularly appears at both public inquiries and in the higher courts, Gregory acts on behalf of developers, local planning authorities and third parties. Gregory has also developed a particular expertise in off shore marine spatial planning and EU environmental law.

Another keynote speaker will be confirmed.

Traditional paper presentations will be given in the following areas:

The ‘soapbox’ session provides a dynamic forum for short presentations on risky ideas
or controversial legal views.
