Where: The Octagon, Queens' Building, Queen Mary University of London, Mile End Road, E1 4NS

*This event has been postponed*

This year’s George Hinde Grand-Final will be held at The Octagon, the historic library of Queen Mary University of London. This is located in the Queens’ Building, on our Mile End Campus. Doors will open at 5.30pm on Tuesday, March the 31st and the moot will begin at 6pm. After the event, there will be an opportunity to enjoy a food and drinks reception to celebrate the achievements of the finalists and mingle with fellow guests.

The George Hinde Moot Competition has been running at Queen Mary for over 40 years and is our longest running mooting competition. On the route to the final, competitors have the opportunity to present to academics at Queen Mary, practising barristers, and two circuit judges with whom the competition has worked closely over many years. It provides competitors with an extremely valuable opportunity to hone their advocacy skills and gain an insight into the Bar.

Competitors will present on an issue of Public Law, heard at Supreme Court level. It will be our privilege to welcome The Hon Mr Justice Robin Knowles CBE as the guest judge for this year’s Grand-Final.

We look forward to welcoming you all to this prestigious event.
