CCLS 40th Anniversary Energy Law Institute Lecture

When: Thursday, June 18, 2020, 3:40 PM - 4:50 PM
Where: Online

This online event is part of the CCLS 40th Anniversary Online Lecture Series.

Our 40th Anniversary coincides with the evolution of Energy Law as we now know it, and a number of significant events. The events range from the turmoil in the oil markets, to privatization of the energy sector, to environmental disasters, corporate insolvency and mal practice to, price volatility, the death of King Coal, the boom in shale gas, the growth in renewables to today where energy is at the heart of Climate Change mitigation.

Our event will examine the development in Energy Law over the last 40 years and will take the form of a panel discussion, moderated by Professor James Dallas, Executive Director of the Energy Law Institute. Our panel will include participants from our alumni. Whilst part of the discussion will look back at the last 40 years to see how the past has informed the present, we will also attempt to forecast how Energy Law might evolve and include a focus on how we teach and prepare our students to thrive in an ever changing and challenging sector.

Please register on the booking link and you will be sent the login details the day before the event.
