About the Role

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a NERC project led by Dr Athen Ma. The role is to examine impacts of climate change on sub-structures in ecological networks. The successful candidate will also be working with Dr Kratina and Prof Latora at QMUL and Dr O’Gorman at the University of Essex.

 

About You

Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Expertise in network science and complex systems, as well as experience of profiling structures in large-scales systems is essential for this role. Good knowledge of dynamics modelling in complex systems and general interest in ecology is desirable.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 30 months, with an expected start date in March 2024, or as soon as thereafter. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £40,223 - £42,405 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
