About the Role
This post is to provide experienced technical support for the Flow Cytometry Service in the Barts CR-UK Centre/William Harvey Research Institute. Being mutually supportive and covering duties as necessary during colleagues’ absences and at times of additional pressure. The post-holder will be expected to be responsible for contributing to the operation and maintenance of flow cytometry equipment and for the analysis and sorting of samples by flow cytometry/FACS, for training academic staff and junior cytometry staff.
About You
Candidates will have a BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject. The successful applicant will have significant practical experience in multiparameter (>10) cell sorting and cytometric analysis, on a variety of cytometers. Experience of working in a core service and mass cytometry (CyTOF and Hyperion) will be an advantage.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square It is full time for 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility of extending up to a further 4 years subject to funding. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,165 - £44,722 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
